Petticoats x auka

Blouse in collaboration with Enaguas x auka.

Enaguas is a project that helps communities of women around the world, collaborating with them to recover forgotten crafts.

The fabric for these shirts comes from West Africa. They are hand-embroidered by communities of nomadic women, whose ancestral motifs honor their history and lineage. These women are governed by astrology...and thus convey this in their embroidery.

The blouses are made in local workshops in Seville, under the watchful eye of their creator, Lola.

The entire process is very manual; we're talking about craftsmanship, so each garment is different, which makes it even more special.
